The Professional

It was a very exciting day at Loon Lodge (seriously, that sarcasm font would really come in handy!).  The weather was crap, so we did a lot of this: (Jon said, “you aren’t going to put these on the blog, are you?” Muahahahaha!)DSC_0111

Dylan did a bit of sitting around too.  Not much, but a little.  Mainly while his cousins napped.  He even took a nap today too!   DSC_0115

See – craptastic.  60 degrees (if that) and cloudy. DSC_0116

Here’s your food pic of the day – Black Bean and Avocado Salsa.  That Chop Wizard sure is handy!  Look for it at a Christmas gift exchange near you!  DSC_0118

Who took the time to cut all those in such uniform little pieces!?  Oh yeah, that was me!  It took like 5 minutes to make the whole thing! DSC_0119
Taco Jon ate the whole bowl. Wink DSC_0120Here’s one of my addictions…Stacys.  That Stacy must lace her pita chips with some sort of addictive drug cuz I’m HOOKED.

Time for some activity!  Avery almost seems jealous whenever Dylan rides his bike.  I see her riding one quite early!   DSC_0123

Here he is hauling his bike half way up the big hill to ride down.  I don’t condone this activity, but he’s a boy – what can ya do? DSC_0124See – following her brother!

  DSC_0128

Hair flowing behind him!  He goes pretty dang fast and we have to remind him to keep his focus forward and not to look at us (to see if we are watching).   DSC_0131Eri

c was reminding him each time to be careful and not to pedal on the way down, etc, etc.  Dylan says to him, “Dad.  I’m not going to get KILLED.  I’m a professional.”  Laughing DSC_0135 DSC_0136

His loyal followers.   DSC_0139

My parents dog Tedward likes to wander off.  Dylan is always quick to retrieve him.  We think Teddy might think twice about wandering off when Dylan is around. DSC_0142 DSC_0143Do

gs, dogs, dogs.  Everywhere dogs.   DSC_0147Sarcastic

DSC_0148We actually got a campfire going today despite the lack of desire to do anything earlier. DSC_0156

Smore boy. DSC_0159 DSC_0160 DSC_0164

He knew I was pleased he was doing this. Eye-rolling DSC_0166

There was an incident at the fire! DSC_0167 DSC_0168

We moved on from the tragedy by roasting more marshmallows. DSC_0171

Then tragedy struck again!  And these are his fancy jeans, dang it! DSC_0180

I like how his skin is peeking through! DSC_0182

He felt better once he succeeded in roasting the perfect marshmallow.   DSC_0187

But his burn hole was never far from his mind.   DSC_0188

Dylan showed the proper amount of sympathy. DSC_0192

Natalie did too. DSC_0195 The old boys are still down at the fire – Jon’s jeans are already ruined anyway and Eric is wearing a free sweatshirt.  They’ve got nothing to lose!

Well, that is it for this evening!  House Hunters is on, so I gotta bolt!
