It was a very exciting day at Loon Lodge (seriously, that sarcasm font would really come in handy!). The weather was crap, so we did a lot of this: (Jon said, “you aren’t going to put these on the blog, are you?” Muahahahaha!)
Dylan did a bit of sitting around too. Not much, but a little. Mainly while his cousins napped. He even took a nap today too!
See – craptastic. 60 degrees (if that) and cloudy.
Here’s your food pic of the day – Black Bean and Avocado Salsa. That Chop Wizard sure is handy! Look for it at a Christmas gift exchange near you!
Who took the time to cut all those in such uniform little pieces!? Oh yeah, that was me! It took like 5 minutes to make the whole thing!
Taco Jon ate the whole bowl. Here’s one of my addictions…Stacys. That Stacy must lace her pita chips with some sort of addictive drug cuz I’m HOOKED.
Time for some activity! Avery almost seems jealous whenever Dylan rides his bike. I see her riding one quite early!
Here he is hauling his bike half way up the big hill to ride down. I don’t condone this activity, but he’s a boy – what can ya do? See – following her brother!
Hair flowing behind him! He goes pretty dang fast and we have to remind him to keep his focus forward and not to look at us (to see if we are watching). Eri
c was reminding him each time to be careful and not to pedal on the way down, etc, etc. Dylan says to him, “Dad. I’m not going to get KILLED. I’m a professional.”
My parents dog Tedward likes to wander off. Dylan is always quick to retrieve him. We think Teddy might think twice about wandering off when Dylan is around. Do
gs, dogs, dogs. Everywhere dogs.
We actually got a campfire going today despite the lack of desire to do anything earlier.
He knew I was pleased he was doing this.
There was an incident at the fire!
We moved on from the tragedy by roasting more marshmallows.
Then tragedy struck again! And these are his fancy jeans, dang it!
I like how his skin is peeking through!
He felt better once he succeeded in roasting the perfect marshmallow.
But his burn hole was never far from his mind.
Dylan showed the proper amount of sympathy.
Natalie did too. The old boys are still down at the fire – Jon’s jeans are already ruined anyway and Eric is wearing a free sweatshirt. They’ve got nothing to lose!
Well, that is it for this evening! House Hunters is on, so I gotta bolt!
