Oh hello, loyal readers! Sorry there was such a long gap between updates! I was left alone to fend for myself while my hardworking husband left the house to bring home the bacon for 2 weeks. And what a LONG two weeks it was! For all of us! We're happy to be together again - even if our surroundings are kinda gross at the moment. Spring has arrived at Sullivan Lake. The geese are here. The robins are flying around (much to Millicent's delight). The snow has melted. Lake Dylan has returned. The ice on the lake is starting to recede. And the yard looks like crapola. So we had to get away for a weekend. Eric was in the cities for the Final Five college hockey tournament, so Dylan and I drove down to join him for a game. Dylan was more interested in walking laps around the Xcel Center than watching the game. So that's what we did. Here are a couple pics from that: (we were using the old camera and all the pics turned out like crap as a result - hence, the reason why there are so few to show here)
For the record, Eric was VERY hung over! ha ha!
Dylsie enjoyed watching the cars and the crowds outside.
And here we are back home again. Dylan the duck was in rare form!
These two pics are from when Daddy was gone. Dylan was being extra cute (much better than the "extra crabby" kid that I spent a lot of time with during those LONG 2 weeks!)
And finally, here is a glimpse of the loveliness that is springtime at Sullivan Lake.
What is that - OPEN WATER!? WOOOHOOO!!!!!
The house. We have to get there by boat.
Dylan sporting a hat from Gma Puppy. See, I told you it was too small Mom!
Lake Dylan at its deepest. For now, anyway. We are expecting more rain and snow.
Looking out towards the lake. Lovely, isn't it? The grass doesn't look as brown in this picture! Maybe its all in my head? I dunno. Today while I was busy uploading pics for the blog, I noticed a large bird out in the tree. Had noticed him the other day out on the ice and we've been trying to decide if he is an eagle or an osprey. Eric is not sure either. He looked at it with the binoculars and can see yellow on his beak, so who knows! I ran outside with the camera and snapped a few photos of him before he gave me a look that read, "get outta here!" and flew off. I will probably post it on our Shuttercal for today if the pic is decent. Think I might need a larger lens for that purpose tho. It seems like I'm always trying to get pictures of stuff like that and having them not turn out worth a crap (remember the otter?!?). Anyway, if anyone has forgotten our Shuttercal address - this is it: www.shuttercal.com/calendar/dylansmom/And for your baby baking update - Avery is doing well. Moving around like crazy - much more than her brother ever did. I will be 30 weeks on Sunday, so I suppose we'll take some pics. 9 more weeks to go then! We have an ultrasound on April 1st. Eric said, "Oh good! That way we can confirm that she is a boy!" HA HA. The c-section is scheduled for May 29th. Woohoo! I have a lot of work to get done in those 9 weeks tho. Mainly, get her room painted. (Any helpers out there?? anyone?? Its a small room!) First we have to move Dylan to his big boy room tho. And truth be told, I'm nervous! I'm sure it will take a lot of getting used to by both us and him. We'll keep you posted.
Well, I think thats about it. Hopefully it wasn't too much of a boring update for ya!
