Catch Up Time

I’m quite sure you all missed us yesterday, right?  I took the day off from the bloggity blog in an effort to keep our special guest entertained.  My friend Anne arrived on Friday afternoon and the kids have spent every moment soaking up her attention.  Right now she’s laying down with a headache.  Rookie.  LOL!  Just kidding, Anne!  Not sure how entertaining we are either.  It rained over an inch last night (the rain gauge was full and then some) so Lake Dylan has returned and the ditch between our house and the neighbor’s house is full of water as well.  Not to mention that I’m sure the mosquito’s have most likely returend.  So anyway, this means we are inside today.  Its not sunny anyway, but still – being cooped up is boring for everyone.  The fort idea has worn thin.  Avery is currently playing with a plastic bowl while Dylan yanks it out of her hands over and over again causing her to erupt in the Avery siren.  No wonder Anne went to lay down!  : )

Anyway, here are a few pics from the past few days.  This photoshoot was inspired by a blog post I read about how mom’s should be in more pictures with their kids (since they are usually the ones behind the camera.  Did you know that they make a remote for taking self timer pictures?  How did I not know this before!?  That would be awesome!  So here are a few pictures we took.  Not the best quality, but it was the thought that counts, right?

Here is Avery practicing with her potty.  She knows what it is now at least!  Not that we expect her to potty train already, but it can’t hurt to get it out!
