Aberdeen Part 2

As usual, Blogger is being a pain in the arse, so the pictures and recaps will be in several posts. But hey - at least it isn't the pictures in backwards order this time! Bonus!

We also visited Storybook Land! We always have talked about going, but never have. We're gonna have to revisit it though b/c the mosquitos were SO bad. We even had bug spray on and they were still attacking us. Poor Avey got a ton of bites on her little leggies. : ( So because of the bugs, we didn't stay long. Also, Avery was running on empty so we didn't really want to push our luck. You know how Avery gets when she gets angry... ; )

Dylan sees a water fountain just like this one on a street in Brainerd and yells for me to "STOP THE CAR! LET ME OUT!" So he finally got to use one at Storybook Land! How exciting!

Aberdeen Part 1

We went to Aberdeen this past weekend so I could attend my good friend from high school's wedding. Dylan has been promised many a time that he was going to get to visit the fancy new waterpark in Aberdeen as soon as it was nice enough to go when we are there. He got his wish this weekend! He and Eric went solo, as Avery probably wouldn't have enjoyed it much this time around. It wasn't sunny or very warm, so they almost left after an hour but ended up staying for a few hours. Dylan had a great time! Eric was just saying how he wished he would have had the Flip with because it would have been fun for us to watch. Maybe next time!

Green Monsters

Tried a new recipe this week! Normally new recipes are met with whining and refusal to eat. This time, they both LOVED it. And I must say that I am a big fan as well. Its a smoothie made with 1 TB ground flaxseed, 2 cups of fresh spinach, 1 banana, 1 cup of milk (regular, soy or almond - we prefer almond) and a couple handfuls of ice. It. Is. Delicious! I know what you are thinking, "HOW could this be good? She's nuts. She eats weird things as it is." Yes, that is true, I do eat "weird" (i.e. healthy) food, but seriously - give this a try.
