Tuesday's News

Today has been a very boring day so far.  We woke up to find that Lake Dylan is back cuz it rained all night long and has rained most of the day today.  Dylan took one look at Lake Dylan and said, "I want to run through it!"  And I started to say, "No..." and hes goes, "I'd get alllll wet!"  Yep, yep you would.  So we're inside today.  Eric is still in Boston, so when Dylan asks where Daddy is, I keep saying, "He's in Boston.  Boston, Massachusetts."  So then he repeats it and says Massachusetts perfectly!  Hilarious!  He told me that Daddy went to the Brainerd airport and went to Massachusetts.  Such a funny boy.  Lately he has been singing the entire alphabet to us, which is pretty cute.  Especially when he gets to the last part and says, "Now Dylan knows his a,b,c's..."  He has also gotten pretty good at counting and can count to ten without help.  I'm thinking he probably can count higher than that, but won't do it in front of us.  God forbid we know he can count!  If you ask him to count or sing the abc's he wont do it on command.  But if you wait a bit until he thinks you aren't listening anymore, he'll start singing or counting.

Well, not much more to report from today.  I took some pics of Lake Dylan, but I don't feel like fighting with blogger to get them uploaded.  Oh well.  You'll all live.  If you saw the pictures of the flooding in our yard in June, just picture that.  Only this time, there are leaves floating in Lake Dylan.  OH and also there is a streak of water where the wheelbarrow made its many, many trips.

Thats all for now!

Weekend Update

Hello!

It was a busy weekend for us.  Friday was a real purdy fall day at the lake, so we spent much of the day outside.  Eric made a few trips with his wheelbarrow (see the pics below) and made much progress on the beach and Dylsie had fun playing outside in the leaves with Ingrid.
Can't remember what load # this was....

One, two, three - JUMP!

And then on Friday night, Erika and Josh arrived for a visit.  Saturday was a lovely day as well, so we were outside a lot then too.  Eric worked on the beach a bit more and we all supervised his efforts.  We also played a game of croquet and took a pontoon ride around the lake.  The pontoon made it all the way around the lake (we hadn't taken it around the lake yet, so there was some discussion on whether or not it would make it), so that was a relief.  Saturday night we went to Harding (or Harris, Harring or Harold, as Erika would call it) for some food.  Very exciting times.  The ribs were good.  Anyway, here are some pics from Saturday:
Getting close to done!

Friday is FUNDAY.

This will probably be a quick post cuz Dylsie is a bit moody this morning.  Well, Eric is back now and Dylan was very excited to find that his daddy was back this morning when he woke us up at 6am (must have had a bad dream or something).  Today we'll be running errands in Brainerd and cleaning up the house in preparation for guests.  Erika and Josh are finally making the trip up to see our place, so I'm sure we'll have some fun pics to post after the weekend is over.  But before they arrive, I will be cleaning and Eric will be making his gazillion runs with his wheelbarrow full of sand down to the beach.  So I will take pics for you all to see.  You know you don't want to miss out on my workhorse going back and forth 67 times!  This is gonna be great!

Ok, thats it.  Sorry for the lame post - next one will be better.

Sand!!

As you can see here, Dylan's sand arrived yesterday!  Here are a few pics of him seeing it being dumped with Ingrid.

DD and his new "pumpkalins"
And finally, the bridge is finally arriving!  All we have been hearing so far today is "beep beep beep" from semis backing up.  3 giant pieces came yesterday and many more are arriving today.  Exciting times around here right now!  Eric is in the cities, so you'll have to wait on the "first dump of sand" post.  I guess I shouldnt have mentioned it, cuz now you'll all be waiting by your computers to see it go down.  Patience, my pets, patience.
